Frances A. Johnson-Richards, 82, a former long-time Beloit/Janesville area resident passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Home Bridge Care in Belvidere, IL. Frances was born in South Beloit, IL on November 23, 1929, the daughter of Antonio and Rose (Tusa) Palermo. On May 3, 1947, she married Gale Johnson. Frances was employed for many years as the bookkeeper at Beloit Culligan and prior to retiring worked for Accudyne in Janesville.
Survivors are:  daughter, Kathleen (Thomas) Franken of Roscoe, IL,  grandchildren, Dylan (Lori) Franken of McHenry, IL, Noah Franken of Columbia, MO, Becky Johnson-Austin of Roscoe, IL, Jacob Johnson of Washington DC,  great-grandchildren, Liliana, Sophia, Holden, Nathan, Devyn and Nevaeh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Johnson in 1974. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Johnson, a granddaughter, Michelle Chandler, her parents,  2 brothers, Anthony and Ernest and 4 sisters, Jenny, Rose, Jacqueline and Mary.
A special thank you to the Transition Hospice staff and the staff of Home Bridge Care for the wonderful care they gave to Frances.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Rev. Lee Meissner will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, WI. www.henkeclarson.com.
